An annual service visit is essential for a healthy machine. Many problems can be dealt with, or located during the service time on the machine. With every service we fill out a service sheet which is copied three times, one for the customer, one to be kept with the machine and one to be retained by us for future reference

 Link to example service sheet:-

Often a machine operator can inform us of any problems that he/she has found since the last visit. It is vital that we have a good relationship with all the operator across all shifts. As part of a service the machine will be cleaned down after we have finished the service, we hope the operator will find the environment more pleasurable and so keep it clean after we have left. This is part of the concept of  Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

The equipment below is just part of our service kit.

From general hand tools used for a machine service;

1. Grease gun.

2. Liquid rotary pump.

3. BT 40 and BT 50 tool changer test rings, for the alignment of tool changer.

4. Fluke multi-meter, for measuring Volts, Amps and Continuity.

5. Measuring jug and hand spray to clean hard to get to places.

6. Fanuc manuals in the form of PDF files.

7. Hand held oscilloscope.

8. Hydraulic pressure testing kit

9. Granite square for checking / setting machine accuracy

10. Laser guided thermometer for checking spindles after re-build and for general use.

11. .dB hand held measurement unit for checking noise within the factory.

12 BT 40 and BT 50 test bar for checking spindle alignment.

Other equipment includes a laptop oscilloscope, able to record information to be kept on record for fault diagnosis at a later date.

We have an ongoing commitment to have the right tool for the job so as we can give reliable information about any problems we may encounter.

Unplanned and unexpected machine stoppages cause great difficulties. These headaches can be kept to a minimum through systematic and professional maintenance, since experience shows that most machine stoppages are caused by a small detail that was detected too late or not at all. To ensure our customers the highest possible level of system availability, we offer customised maintenance agreements. This regular maintenance is especially important in providing early detection of machine wear resulting from run time, before a failure occurs with the resulting costs. Repairs that are needed can be planned and performed at a convenient time. Depending on machine schedule and shift assignment, We recommends performing periodic maintenance every 6 to 8 months.

Maintenance is performed by trained and experienced service enginers who know how much depends on their work. During the examination over the course of a machine-specific maintenance plan with checklist, all important functions are checked and necessary adjustments are made. The results are documented in the checklist and a service sheet.

High-performance cooling lubricant systems are a component integrated into all modern machining centres. Various designs and filter concepts are used to rinse away machining swarf quickly and reliably as it accumulates and to move it via the swarf conveyor into suitable collecting containers. Modern high-performance tools can only be used with the support of high-pressure internal cooling. The safety and reliability of machining thus stands and falls with the quality of the lubricant.

Regular inspections and maintenance are important to ensure long-term reliability and increase machine availability. This is the only way to reduce wear on rotary pass-throughs, valves, and pumps. We recommend specifically performing the following maintenance steps, which we offer customers as a service package.

• General functional check of the system and check for leakage

• Check of articulated conveyor belt or swarf conveyor stripper brushes

• Check and adjustment of paper conveyor

• Clean dirt from the motor cooling fans and covers

• Check of high and low-pressurepumps for noise and vibration

• Adjustment of lifting pump flow rate

• Functional check, cleaning and adjustment of all level switches

• Check of plugs, cables, and air connections

• Check of high-pressure filter cartridges

After all maintenance tasks have been performed, you will receive a detailed status report and if applicable a quote to repair any defects discovered. Other customised service products are under development.

We offer our customers maintenance agreements for all machining centre, lathes, cylindrical grinders, at fixed rates.

Summary of your benefits from a maintenance contract:

• Minimum down times

• Fewer repairs due to regular maintenance

• Less scrap and high level of operating reliability

• Machine is maintained in good state ensuring long service life

• Cost control facilitated by maintenance work at a fixed price
