We organized a clean-up of a lane which has 3 small lay-by’s which attracts the dropping of litter. Over 1 1/2 hours we collected 6 bags in total, 2 recycling and 4 general waste. More work is still to be done on the lane as we only covered 1/6 of the total lane.  We won't able to clean 1/2 of  the lane as cars travel too fast and there is only space for 2 cars to pass with no room for pedestrians

Before we cleaned

After the clean -up

We also cleared 2 bags from a small walkway between two housing estates which was littered with rubbish and dog poo bags.

This is the amount collected to date

(5 March 2016 to the 19 March 2016)

Walsall council are collecting from my home address soon

The next event was on Sunday the 20th March on the Beacon Road in Great Barr, Birmingham.

The intention i was to do a spring clean too the road which is used by School childeren every day. 4 bins are provided but the children seem unable to get the rubbish through the opening in the bin's.

Another partial lane clearing was Doe Bank Lane.

Bridle Lane Van drops load of rubbish

After our efforts to keep this lane free from rubbish a van has thrown 16 bags out on to the side of one of the lay-by's in the lane. All the tyres have been let down and the van is now abandoned. We have advised the local police who will deal with the problem I hope. We cleaned this lane only 5 days earlier and also another lane "Doe Bank Lane" which then had 3 bags of rubbish dropped on it 1 day later. The battle goes on......…

UPDATE.

The rubbish has been cleared but the van is still parked.
